This traditional cottage on Pembrokeshire’s St Davids Peninsula has lovely sea views and makes an excellent springboard for discovering this spectacular part of Wales. You can look forward to long, satisfying days exploring rocky coves, sandy beaches and coastal pathways, followed by quiet evenings in relaxing with your friends and loved ones. It’s down a quiet country lane in a rural spot just 1 mile from the coast. With room for up to four, is ideal for a family or small group of friends.

The property is detached, with a pretty exterior and a quintessentially Welsh stone facade. Inside, a stylish rustic decor awaits, with lattice windows and gorgeous wooden ceiling beams. The lounge has a soothing colour scheme of beiges, tans and browns and a cosy wood burner for staying toasty on chilly evenings, as you catch up with a chapter of your book or enjoy something on the TV. There’s plenty of outside space, too, with a paved patio at the back and a lawned space at the side offering lovely views – both areas are furnished so you can make the most of the fresh air.

When it’s time to venture out, there’s a pub 1 mile away in Porthgain, a fishing village with a harbour. Here you can join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path for scenic wanders hugging the shoreline. There’s a pebbled beach just 2 miles away in Abereiddy, where you can try out some water sports such as canoeing, kayaking and coasteering. Whitesands, a sandy beach a little further away (6 miles) is a popular swimming spot. You’ll be 6 miles from St David’s – Britain’s smallest city – where you’ll find cafes, a supermarket and a restaurant as well as the famous cathedral that’s open for visitors.
