There’s plenty of room for the whole family at this quaint and quirky listed Georgian hideaway nestled in the peaceful village of Manorbier, bursting with the same character and charm you’ll find in the wonderfully preserved surrounding unspoilt countryside and coastline.

After a day’s adventure, refuel by whipping up a feast to feed the crowd in the generous kitchen/diner and enjoy making special family memories in the separate dining room, complete with rustic décor and a beamed ceiling which sets the farmhouse-style aesthetic of the cottage. As the evening draws in, light the open fire housed in the exposed brick chimney breast in the cosy lounge and hunker down on the comfy sofas to enjoy a film night around the TV. Answer the call of bedtime upstairs with four bedrooms, each featuring the same antique-style décor as downstairs, to choose from to retire for the night. Soak up some fresh, clean air in the enclosed lawn at the front of the cottage or dine alfresco on the raised patio terrace at the rear of the cottage overlooking the rear sloped lawn and the nearby coastline.

Offering a superb sandy cove perfect for surfing and a breathtaking medieval castle overlooking the bay, the seaside village of Manorbier is a designated conservation area and offers a peaceful haven for anyone looking to dive into the history of West Wales. Keen walkers can join up with the spectacular coast path to reach the dune-backed Manorbier beach half a mile away to enjoy an afternoon digging around the rockpools or surfing the tide. Venture 12.5 miles north to ride sky-high roller coasters at Oakwood Theme Park or swim the lazy river at Blue Lagoon Waterpark. Explore the western side of Carmarthen Bay at the bustling seaside town of Tenby 6 miles away.

Details of parking could be clearer. it is not the easiest of access, especially if you have a family vehicle. We loved the cottage! Traditional and comfortable with all we needed. Excellent outdoor space to relax in. 2 stunning bedrooms. Perfect location for a coastal holiday.

We enjoyed our stay in Curlew Cottage. Warm, clean and welcoming. Loved the arga, open fire and quirkiness of the property. Love village, walks to the beach and along the coast. Good meal in the cocal pub.
