Description

This attractive, single storey stone cottage, converted from a former cowshed, stands in its own lawned grounds with private enclosed patio and open fields to the rear, on the owners’ farm in a peaceful rural area, 5 miles from Llandysul, within 6 miles of the pretty market town of Newcastle Emlyn and just 10 miles from the stunning West Wales coastline at Llangrannog. Beudy Hywel retains many interesting architectural features, including exposed stone walls and beamed ceilings. The cottage benefits from oil-fired central heating, a wood burning stove and WiFi.

The owners’ farm has sheep and cattle in the surrounding fields, with a few free range hens and ducks on the farm yard. Beudy Hywel is one of a group of properties ranged around the farmyard, with barns and other unused buildings adjacent. The cottage is detached, though, with a good degree of privacy.

Excellent walking in the area. This is a convenient location for enjoying the beautiful, rolling Carmarthenshire countryside whilst being within easy reach of the West Wales Coastline – Llangrannog, Aberporth, New Quay and Aberaeron all within easy reach. Inland, the delights of Aberglasney Gardens, National Botanic Garden of Wales, National Trust’s Dolaucothi Gold Mines, Dylan Thomas’ Boathouse at Laugharne, the spectacular Llansteffan Castle, eastern Brecon Beacons National Park and much more, all within 35 miles.
