Indulge in long country walks and afternoons on beautiful beaches when you stay at this welcoming stone retreat on a small holding in West Wales. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom bolthole dates back 200 years and offers a perfect blend of character and comfort from its location 6 miles from Aberaeron. Ideal for spending time on picturesque Bae Ceredigion (Cardigan Bay) it has a garden with hot tub to return home to on sunny afternoons and a wood burner for autumn and winter days.

Wander inside to find a cosy ambience and a warm welcome. The lounge, with its brick fireplace and ornamental bread oven is a great place to play games or watch TV as the wood burner crackles in the background. The long, light-filled kitchen has everything you need to help you prepare tasty meals for your party with your own ingredients. You can dine in here or out in the sunny garden. Also downstairs are a utility room and family bathroom, as well as a double bedroom. A twin bedroom, with an exposed stone wall and some restricted head-height due to its charming, sloped ceilings, is up on the first floor. The mature garden is ideal for summer lunches and afternoons spent bubbling in the hot tub. There is parking here for two cars.

While away your afternoons on the beach at Aberaeron, swimming in the sea and keeping watch for dolphins. Picturesque New Quay, 14 miles away, is also worth visiting and is a great place to book a boat trip out along the coast. Walk the 6.5-mile section of the Ceredigion Coast Path between New Quay and Aberaeron, which is known for its stunning seascapes. Have a day out to historic Lampeter, 12 miles away, to explore its colourful streets and ponder in independent shops.

The accommodation was easy to find, clean, comfortable and was situated in a lovely area that was accessible to all the local tourist areas. The host also let us have access to an area to run my dog. Was lovely ending the day chilling jn the hot tub.

Ty clyd is a stunning little place, with a lovely host. Hot tub was amazing and the little touches by Teresa the host such as milk, eggs and welsh cakes on arrival was a bonus.
