This fantastic farmhouse is an idyllic spot for a multi-generational family holiday, with something to please all ages, from the sun-trap conservatory and period features to the bubbling hot tub. A must-visit whilst staying locally is the Rhayader Red Kite Feeding Station (10 miles) for the spectacle of the birds enjoying their dinnertime which occurs daily and is a truly awe-inspiring sight.

Oozing charm and cosiness, the lounge has a feature exposed stone wall as well as a selection of leather seating for the whole family to gather around the TV and wood burner. The conservatory offers an alternative area in which to socialise with marvellous garden views all around, two armchairs and a three-seater sofa. When it’s time to cook up a storm, the galley-style kitchen is equipped with everything you’ll need, with a utility room just next door providing additional space for storage. Head to the dining room to eat as a family, with an impressive inglenook fireplace featuring an Aga, as well as a table seating nine. The snug is a multipurpose room, which can be used as a double bedroom if need be and is set up with a sofa with space for additional storage in the form of a large cupboard. A downstairs shower room is also available. There are three bedrooms in total, each of which has a feature wall which ties into the rest of the decor, including a king-size room - the only downstairs bedroom, a double room and a family room. The family room is a great option for those with young children, furnished with both a double bed and a single bed. Also on the first floor is a family bathroom with a marble-effect finish and a large skylight. To the front of the property, there is a pretty patio, whilst to the side of the property are the landscaped gardens and a raised patio area where you’ll find the fabulous hot tub, a BBQ and ample seating for al fresco dining.

Make the most of your stay in this picturesque part of Wales by taking time to explore the Elan Valley (12 miles) via the Elan Valley Trail which spans for 9 miles with breathtaking views, calm picnic spots by the water, and an impressive array of wildlife to spot. This is a beautiful and comfortable place to stay. It is exceptionally clean and the kitchen is well stocked with just about every utensil. We cooked and baked most days. The weather was awful for spring (April showers ) but this did not stop us going in the hot tub. Great host and nothing is too much trouble. I cant wait to go again. The most PeacRead moreeful place in Wales xx thank you Hide

Bryncylla was wonderful, spacious enough for a big family group. The children loved to play on the grass, be with the horses, and relax in the evening as we barbecued. The view from Bryncylla is spectacular, our host generous, and we will come again if the chance to come to Wales returns
