Relax and unwind in this restored railway carriage, set in rolling countryside 4 miles from the village of Sennybridge. The open-plan cabin features a fold-away dining area, a loft space and an outside decked area with jaw-dropping views which, when combined with its enviable location, create a quirky bolthole for couples or small families keen to explore the communities and landscapes found across the Brecon Beacons National Park.
The cabin has a modern rustic feel about it, with tasteful furnishings and creative uses of space throughout. There’s a handcrafted double bed at one end and a small kitchen area and stylish bathroom at the other, with enough room in between for a foldaway dining area and even a loft, accessed via a ladder, which houses a second double bed, ideal for older children. Immediately outside the carriage are a decked area and hot tub, from which you can soak up countryside views by day and star-studded skies at night.
The River Crave (300 metres) bounds the field housing the carriage and you have access to some enviable fishing rights if you wish. There are also acres and acres of woodland within 3 miles of the carriage all set up for long strolls in the fresh country air. Market towns including Brecon and Llandovery (both within 14 miles) offer an authentic flavour of the tight-knit communities which can be found across the Brecon Beacons National Park, with scenic views and awe-inspiring wooded hills and snow-capped mountains lining the route.
