Neatly nestled on a tranquil fruit farm within easy reach of the bustling market town of Abergavenny, this cosy south-facing cottage is the ultimate peaceful and romantic bolthole to explore the walking trails and natural unspoilt scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park.

After exploring your wonderful surroundings, hunker down for the evening in the rustic cosy lounge to relax tired walking muscles on the comfortable sofa and catch up with your favourite programme on the TV. The traditional cottage ambience is carried through to the kitchen/diner where you can rustle up a delicious locally sourced feast and enjoy dining long into the evening around the farmhouse-style dining table. As day turns to night, retire to the double bedroom which features wonderful views of the surrounding greenery and hillsides that’ll send you to sleep peacefully. Dive into the unspoilt scenery by dining alfresco on the picnic benches dotted around the shared front lawn, or for a livelier evening, head to the shared games room on-site to enjoy a game of pool.

Nestled in the south-east corner of the Brecon Beacons National Park in the shadow of the Black Mountains, the vibrant market town of Abergavenny is renowned for its independent shops showcasing the best local produce this area has to offer, and its plethora of great walking and cycling trails. What an absolute gem, as not only close to all amenities, it was far enough away to enjoy peace and tranquility in abundance. The host was very friendly and knowledgeable, and always on hand should you need anything. This place was great value for money especially for July, and even though the weather could have been better, there was nowhere else Read moreI would rather have gone. Will definitely book again in the future. Hide

A lovley spot in peaceful surroundings with very friendly welcoming hosts. It was ideally positioned for exploring all the nearby castles... We explored 7 new ones and a few previously visited. Thank goodness for National Trust & CHDW. We recommend a trip to Big Pit - taking the smaller beautiful route ober the Top! Tina & Collin
