Further afield, you can take on the dizzying heights of Cader Idris (16.5 miles), within Eryri National Park (Snowdonia), or the waterside trails along the Mawddach Estaury (15.5 miles) For a day at the seaside, head to the golden sands of Fairbourne (3 miles), where you can also hop on the passenger ferry to visit the bustling resort of Barmouth.
