Gather friends and family in this chic holiday home in the seaside village of Mumbles. You’ll be just 0.5 miles from the beach, and the pier and the village’s many cafes and restaurants are within 1 mile. The jaw-dropping beaches of the Gower Peninsula are within easy reach, your nearest being the surfing hotspot of Langland Bay (1 mile). In the evenings, sip a sundowner on the balcony and enjoy the distant sea views.

The stylish holiday home cleverly combines contemporary design with beautiful original features and quirky furniture, including a monks bench in the hallway. The cosy lounge is full of personality, with a striking exposed brick chimney breast housing a roaring wood burner and a beautiful bay window letting in plenty of natural light. Unwind here on the comfortable sofa, with a good book or your favourite programme on the Smart TV. At the heart of the home is a spacious kitchen/diner, where you can host dinner parties and family celebrations. In summer, extend the social space outdoors to the balcony. The three bedrooms are upstairs, one of which has a Juliet balcony and en-suite shower room. A family bathroom completes the accommodation. Outside, a stairwell leads from the balcony to an enclosed patio garden, with furniture for al fresco dining.

Mumbles is bursting with Welsh charm. Sample delicious local dishes in one of the many independent eateries, and pick up locally-made arts and crafts from the cute gift shops. Enjoy a stroll along the Victorian pier or immerse yourself in history at Oystermouth Castle. The breathtaking beauty of the Gower Peninsula is on your doorstep, with its endless tracks and trails across moorland and along clifftop paths. We really enjoyed our stay in the Mumbles. The house is very lovely and homely. We ate a lot of ice cream and tried a new place called ripples which is just a short walk along the coastal path. The adults preferred Rhossili beach where as the kids preferred Langland as the body boarding waves were terrific. M&S around the corner was very handy forRead more food and drink.
