This sleek eco-cabin made from local timber is just the ticket for the environmentally conscious among you, and is conveniently located 3.5 miles from Builth Wells, a lovely market town in the Wye Valley. In the local area, there’s plenty for nature lovers including hiking, fishing, horse riding and kayaking opportunities through the beautiful landscapes. With one king-size bedroom, this stunning holiday home is perfect for a single visitor or couple, who are welcome to bring a dog.

Featuring solar panels, sheep wool insulation and a wooden construction, this delightful hut is carbon negative. It’s beautifully decorated inside and out and surrounded by gorgeous views to help you feel at peace during your stay. Inside, you’ll have a spacious open-plan living area with an impressive vaulted ceiling and wooden beams. The decor is neutral and stylish, giving the place a Scandi-style appearance. You’ll love cooking in the neat corner kitchen, then enjoying tranquil meals at the traditional dining table. In warm weather, step outside and tuck into some Welsh cakes from your welcome pack, as you sip tea and absorb the lush views and fresh air.

Just 0.5 miles away you can go walking in the delightful Cors y Llyn National Nature Reserve, which is full of wildflowers in summer, including orchids. Its 1-mile walk takes in a meadow, a pond and pretty woodland. You’ll have a pub and shops within 2 miles and more amenities in nearby Builth Wells, famous for its rich history and long stone bridge spanning the Wye. Further afield, you’re just 12 miles from the Elan Valley Lakes area, accessed via the scenic Aberystwyth mountain road, and 18 miles from the edge of the spectacular Brecon Beacons National Park.

Fantastic cabin, exactly as described/pictured with everything you need for a home from home. Perfect location to get to points of interest and a warm, cosy base to return to after a day of hiking. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Excellent Eco Cabin. Thoughtfully furnished in a contemporary style with all Eco touches. The feel of the cabin was really special, safe, warm and beautifully created.

What an absolute gem! Location is convenient, parking for 1 car which is secure, warm, welcome cottage and fantastic scenery. Could not have booked a better cottage. Best place to stay in all of Wales!

"We had a lovely stay at Patagonia. The cottage was lovely, only recently completed but finished to a high standard and included everything we needed. The Welsh cakes and other produce left for us when we arrived was appreciated and very thoughtful of the owners. Patagonia is a beautiful cottage, well positioned for exploring the area, but in a quiet location for relaxing. The owners have put so much thought into the cottage and provided everything we could have wanted. Some groceries were provided for us on our arrival, including welsh cakes which were gratefully received!
