A ground floor apartment within a Victorian building that’s 0.5 miles of Barmouth Harbour. This small, pet-friendly hideaway is perfect for small families, featuring homely living areas, a courtyard garden and easy access to the beach and other attractions across the Mawddach Estuary and Cardigan Bay.

This practical apartment has a warm and contemporary feel, with colourful furnishings dotted about a welcoming interior where everything is close at hand. The corner sofa in the lounge has room for everyone and, like the kitchen opposite, has views of the courtyard beyond. There are courtyard views from the apartment’s two bedrooms, too: a double bedroom with skylights and a single bedroom, with both offering plenty of storage space for outdoor kit. The narrow courtyard garden is the perfect place for an alfresco breakfast, quality time with a good book or a fish supper after a long day at the beach.

Such is the beauty of Barmouth’s village, quayside, beach and views from its surrounding hills and mountains, guests can be excused for not venturing more than 1 mile from the apartment during their stay. Here’s why. The village’s streets are full of independent shops, dog-friendly cafes and pubs, while its west-facing sand and shingle beach is a magnet for watersports lovers. The harbour is a great place for a wander, while the views from Dinas Oleu, a hill overlooking the village, estuary and Cardigan Bay, are something else. The Wales Coast Path takes guests across the other side of the Mawddach Estuary, where bustling towns, villages and mile after mile of sandy beaches await.

Lovely apartment. Excellent location right across from the beach. Courtyard is great to sit out and as I took my dog, he had plenty of space to play. Definitely book to go again

Spotlessly clean, lovely and quiet for somewhere so close to the town centre. Bonus that I could get my motorbike into the courtyard rather than park it on the street. Barmouth is lovely, especially liked walking where you can see the panoramic views. The only downside is, I only had a week here. Next time it will be a fortnight!

This is a relatively new property on the rental market so as expected it is clean and freshly furnished. Just from my point of view I think more cleaning products would be a good idea, a folder with emergency contacts ie doctors hospital etc would be useful. A window cover in the bathroom, just small suggestions they don't impact on the holiday in Read moregeneral as it was a nice place to stay Hide
