This cosy cottage is located in the charming market town of Tregaron and forms the perfect springboard for discovering the natural beauty of West Wales. Outdoorsy types will love immersing themselves in fresh-air adventures like wildlife spotting, hiking and cycling, while coastal towns like Aberaeron and Aberystwyth (16.5 miles and 18.5 miles) are wonderful for their beaches, independent shops and restaurants. With space for four and an additional sleep spot in the lounge if needed, this property is wonderful for a family trip or a couple.
On entering the cottage, you’ll step straight into a warm and inviting lounge and dining area, which provides a comforting retreat after a day of exploration. An attractive exposed stone wall creates a unique rustic look. Unwind on the plush sofa with a book, or watch a film on the Smart TV, perhaps sparking up the wood burner if it’s a cold night. The kitchen is all ready for preparing delicious cooked breakfasts to fuel your adventures. Outside, cross the driveway to reach an enclosed lawned garden where dogs and children can run free safely. You’ll have a private hot tub, BBQ and a dining area all nestled under a striking redwood gazebo. A second elevated patio and dining space is located at the far end of the garden, offering even more spots for enjoying the sunny days and starry nights.
Tregaron contains plenty of shops and pubs, all within 100 metres of your front door, as well as the Red Kite Centre and Museum where you can view a reconstructed Victorian-era classroom. Walkers and cyclists will be keen to join the Ystwyth Trail, a popular 21-mile route connecting the town with Aberystwyth. Nearby there are plenty of attractions to discover, such as the Dolaucothi gold mines, an unusual National Trust site 15 miles away, and the Welsh Quilt Centre (11 miles).
