Share the scenic surroundings of the Welsh and English borderlands with your family and friends when you stay at this remarkable retreat near Kington. Sleeping 18 guests, the eight-bedroom, three-storey, Queen Anne-style country house nestles in gorgeous gardens, complete with a hot tub, where you can spend quality time with your loved ones. Perfect for an extended family group or a large party of friends, the dog-friendly sanctuary is well-positioned for trips out into both the scenic Shropshire Hills and Bannau Brycheiniog, also known as the Brecon Beacons.

Enter via the front door to find impressive accommodation with a wealth of original character. Light the open fire in the lounge then gather in front of the Smart TV for movie nights. Unwind in the drawing room with a cocktail before Sunday lunch then sit down to eat in the generous dining room. Pair up to conjure up home-cooked creations in the kitchen/diner, where there is another table for casual meals. As day turns to night, head upstairs to the bedrooms and bathrooms. Five doubles and a family bathroom are on the first floor. The bedrooms here include two with en-suite bathrooms and one with an en-suite shower room. Continue up to the next level to find a sixth double with a Jack and Jill bathroom, also connecting to the landing, plus a twin and a room with four single beds. Another family bathroom is on this floor. Play croquet or badminton out on the lawn on sunny days. Picnic out here too as often as possible. Wander over to the sunroom to bubble in the hot tub.

Plan group walks right from the doorstep. Make day trips to Hay-on-Wye, 15 miles away, where you can browse in the famous bookshops and go canoeing together on the beautiful River Wye.
