Enjoying a secluded spot in the heart of a valley, this cosy, adults-only barn conversion is the perfect retreat for lovers of the outdoors, set within acres of established gardens, ancient woodlands and farmland. Offering a truly unforgettable stay in a unique and magical setting, guests can take in the unusual sights and sounds while walking through the grounds. Linger by the water garden and enjoy the outdoor pool with a backdrop of established gardens. And for those that wish to explore, there is the Forest of Dean, take in the bluebells in springtime, the greenery in summer and the rich golden valleys in autumn. The sculpture trail at Beechenhurst (9 miles) showcases local arts and craft. Why not hire a canoe and head down stream? Test your limits at Go Ape (9 miles) or visit the market town of Ross-on-Wye with its historic market square (3.5 miles).

Take a moment to soak up the valley and landscaped gardens before arriving at your front door, wooden and traditional in style with an inviting hallway that will lead you up the stairs to your cosy retreat. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with solid wooden floors exposed beams and white-washed walls is the perfect backdrop for the soft furnishings that are rich in colour and texture. Shut out the world and sink into the sofas with a good book or your favourite movie. The hand-crafted dark wood kitchen sits to the side of the room which is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. When it’s time for bed, take a few steps down into the king-size four poster tree bed fit for a king and queen, finished with pure linen bed linen and colourful throws. The en-suite shower room has WC and a large, luxury shower.  Adjacent to the entrance of Kune Kune there is separate access to The Stable which provides an additional double bedroom and en-suite shower room.  Ideal if you have guests or want to invite friends along to this beautiful retreat.  Please enquire at the time of booking if you are interested in booking The Stable.
Step outside to enjoy the shared grounds and after a day’s exploring sink into the private hot tub in the glass-fronted room, with valley views and reindeer to keep you entertained. Watch the sunset from your private balcony and enjoy the paddock views. On sunny days, spend time in the outdoor pool (available between 30th April and 30th September, and solar heated during July and August), and wander around the English country gardens and acres of woodlands. The owner of the property runs a private animal rescue sanctuary, so you’ll be able to watch a fascinating array of exotic and farm animals, with viewing also enjoyed from the communal areas. What a wonderful place. A little slice of serenity tucked away in a quiet valley, we enjoyed the peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of our noisy town life. We had a wonderfully relaxing holiday in Porcupine Point at Paddocks Farm! What a unique and marvelous find. We loved our cosy little upstairs cottage apartment with all its rustic charm. The leather sofas were very comfortable and the waterfall shower was great. I loved cooking on the gas hob - much better than electric. Seeing all the wild animalRead mores every day was amazing. Fantastic location. What a little gem of a place to stay for a relaxing holiday. The hot tub & pool were lovely bonuses & watching the animals & beautiful sunsets made this so much more than a holiday cottage. Will definitely book to stay here again.

Love this place! A real one off find! Impressed from the moment we arrived. Great location for sightseeing places nearby. Superb fully equipped, comfortable cottage including a balcony offering views of landscape and all the exotic animals. Frank and Lyndsey work very hard to protect and keep safe the animals in their care. We hope to return.

Quirky cottage in a sublime location for animal lovers. Balcony views, outdoor pool and sole use of the hot tub are the real selling points but overall lovely accommodation and attentive hosts.

Lindsay and Frank are wonderful hosts. Property is in a fabulous location deep in a valley surrounded by forest and it is so peaceful you cannot help but relax and move to a different beat. You feel like you are in the middle of nowhere but restaurants/pubs/shops are all only a matter of a 5-10 min drive as are lots of local sites and attractions. We had an amazing experience and would thoroughly recommend a stay here. The cottage was delightful and the hosts were wonderful. It was a magical base for exploring the area, and we could have easily spent the whole of our stay just relaxing at the property. The balcony also gave us a great view for animal watching. A week wasn't enough!
