The former cattle shed sits on a working farm and is full of character, with original features carefully combined with contemporary design. Inside, a large entrance hall leads to the open-plan kitchen/diner. This sociable space has a dining table to seat everyone and all the equipment needed to whip up delicious feasts. Moving through to the welcoming lounge, you’ll find a cosy room with comfortable seating and a wood burner to warm your toes after a long, countryside ramble. A wooden staircase leads to the first floor and the two inviting bedrooms, both with en-suite facilities. A gorgeous, enclosed garden awaits outside, with a front lawn and a rear garden with a terrace for al fresco dining. There are also sun loungers for relaxing on with a cocktail, whilst admiring the far-reaching views.
Journey to Hay-on-Wye to peruse its wonderful collection of book shops (there are over 20 in the town!). You’ll also find a great range of independent eateries, along with cute boutiques and galleries. After a wander around the town, head down to The Warren for a picnic on the banks of the River Wye or, if you’re feeling brave, a spot of wild swimming. Llangorse Lake is just 4 miles from the property and offers beautiful waterside walks, as well as the opportunity to hire canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards to get out on the water.
